Serving the diverse communities of Okaloosa County, this program focuses on school readiness, healthy development, and family engagement to ensure that every child is given the tools they need to succeed in school and beyond. In partnership with families, local organizations, and educators, LSF is dedicated to fostering a nurturing environment where children can thrive, building a strong foundation for lifelong learning. HEAD START & EARLY HEAD START
LSF Head Start and Early Head Start in Okaloosa County helps young children from low income families prepare to success in school through comprehensive child development and family support services. Head Start and Early Head Start programs promote children’s development through services that support early learning, health and family well-being. The LSF Okaloosa Head Start centers serve a total of 148 children, 48 in Early Head Start and 100 in Head Start.
